The Equal Rights Center’s Washington DC Fair Housing Laws for Housing Providers interactive course covers all the essential aspects of local and federal fair housing laws, including:
• understanding protected classes in the D.C. Human Rights Act and the Fair Housing Act (e.g., Source of Income),
• details about how local occupancy codes intersect with fair housing requirements, and
• requirements for criminal record screenings.
The modules contain material for all skill levels and is appropriate for:
• leasing/sales agents,
• human resources departments,
• maintenance personnel, and
• all other executive management or staff who interact with prospects and residents.
The platform is easily accessible, can be completed at your own pace, and provides practical, real-world examples. It takes approximately 90 minutes to complete, and learners will receive a certificate upon completion.
